株式会社ビクセンは、「星を見せる会社になる」の経営ビジョンのもと、広く全国の企業様、団体様に、8月13日が極大日（もっとも流星が出現すると予想される日）となるペルセウス座流星群に合わせて、屋外広告看板の外灯やネオンサインなどのライトダウン（消灯または減灯）を提唱いたします。

あかりを消して、星降る夜を過ごそう！ ～8月13日ペルセウス座流星群ライトダウン～ ―参加企業・団体募集中―

ペルセウス座流星群は、毎年8月13日前後に極大日を迎える流星群で、明るい流星の出現が多く、流星痕（星が流れたところに、跡がしばらく残る現象）が見られることもあるなど、夏の夜空を彩る華やかな天文イベントです。今年は8月14日が新月なので、流星群が極大日となる13日も月明かりの影響がほぼなく、流星を見るには非常に良い条件です。しかし、見上げた夜空に明るい光源（屋外看板の外灯やネオンサインなど）があると、淡い輝きの流星はかき消されてしまい、よほど明るい流星以外は目にすることができません。
ビクセンは、今年の好条件のペルセウス座流星群をより多くの方々とともに楽しむため、ライトダウンの主旨に賛同いただき、ご参加いただける企業様、団体様を募集いたします。

ビクセンのライトダウン企画は、前回2015年4月4日の「皆既月食ライトダウン」に続き、今回が第二回目です。

ペルセウス座流星群ライトダウン

ライトダウン日時：2015年8月13日（木）日没～明け方まで
※営業時間等の都合で、夜間の一時的なライトダウンで参加いただいてもかまいません。
ライトダウン対象：屋上看板、袖看板、その他水平より上に向いている街灯（外灯）。
ただし安全上必要な灯は除きます。
協力企業様の紹介：ライトダウンに参加いただく企業様、団体様の名称をビクセンHPで紹介いたします。
