総合光学機器メーカー株式会社ビクセン（本社：埼玉県所沢市、代表取締役：新妻和重）は、仙台市天文台で2023年2月4日（土）～2月5日（日）の2日間にわたり開催される「天文台まつり2023」に出店します。

仙台市天文台が開台した1955年2月1日を記念して、例年2月1日付近の土日に開催する「天文台まつり」は、展示室が無料でご覧いただけるほか、天体観望会・ワークショップなど、星や宇宙を楽しむプログラムが盛りだくさんのイベントです。
ビクセンブースでは、小さなお子様でも楽しく作れる「手作り望遠鏡」のワークショップと、国立天文台がプロデュースした「NAOJ組立式望遠鏡」を1人1台作成するワークショップの2つを行います。

『天文台まつり2023』開催概要

■開催日時：2月4日（土）9:00～21:30（ビクセンブースは10:00～16:30まで）
　　　　　 2月5日（日）9:00～17:00（ビクセンブースは10:00～16:30まで）
■会場：仙台市天文台（宮城県仙台市）
■入場料：無料（ワークショップなど一部イベントは有料）

ビクセンワークショップ『手作り望遠鏡』

倍率約3倍の簡易望遠鏡です。
スクラッチシートにお絵かきをして、オリジナル望遠鏡をつくろう！
●開催時間：両日とも全5回（10:15、10:45、11:15、11:45、12:15）
●定員：各回5組（10時より整理券配布）
●対象：幼児～低学年
●所要時間：20分程度
●料金：500円（税込）

ビクセンワークショップ『NAOJ組み立て望遠鏡』

月や土星・木星が観察できる国立天文台監修による望遠鏡です。
作り方から使い方まで、スタッフがレクチャーします。
●開催時間：両日とも全2回（14:00、15:30）
●定員：各回5組（10時より整理券配布）
●対象：中～高学年以上
●所要時間：60分程度
●料金：5,000円（税込）
